we met thanks to mutual friends. it was always going to be a great wedding because they’re so relaxed and fun loving. plus they’re totally into each other!
fiona and nik had a sunday morning wedding by the river, on a perfect day. fiona’s lovely mum did the ceremony, as she is celebrant catie wood– she managed to keep it together, whilst most of the guests (and myself) had a tear! one of the readings (from a dr seuss book) had me crying behind my camera, it was so sweet and beautiful.
here is the gorgeous fiona
and some details
i actually nearly started with the tears when i got this shot of nik (an emotional groom will do it everytime!)
catie had this plaque made to mark the spot (in the hope it will be mounted here forever….)
the lovely bridal party
nik loves to sail so we stopped off at south of perth yacht club for a few shots
*sigh*
is this cake not totally funky? fiona is a chef and made this herself. the fruit is so cool and the pear is just the best! and i love fi’s rings- it’s the simplicity of them. (anyone that knows me might not believe i just said that- cos i’m all about the big and bright and loud!)
thanks so much for letting me hang out with you guys- and making me cry! i have to include a little of that reading in dedication:
congratulations!
today is your day.
you’re off to great places!
you’re off and away!
you have brains in your head.
you have feet in your shoes.
you can steer yourself any direction you choose.
you’re on your own. and you know what you know. and YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
out there things can happen and frequently do to people as brainy and footsy as you.
and will you succeed?
yes! you will, indeed!
(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed.)
