i was lucky enough to attend the jasmine star workshop two weeks back in sydney, because my good friend kirsty couldn’t make it and sent me in her place. it’s always cool to see how other photographers work and of course meet colleagues from around australia. jasmine and jd were so friendly and fantastic- we could seriously ask them anything and they were more than happy to answer. i could see how excited and inspired everyone was after a few hours with jasmine- what she teaches is so practical and applicable. and full of fun and laughter! i really am in love with this shift in photographers helping photographers- and actually becoming friends! more and more we are realising that we are all individuals, which doesn’t really equate to competition, because who we are means no two photographers are alike. which is actually pretty awesome!
thanks goes to cathy crawley for organising and hosting the workshop. also thanks to daisy chain florist for the beautiful flowers, catherine colubriale for the amazing dresses and lyndal quinn-taccarone for the hair and makeup.
here are a few of the shots i took when we went out on the street to see how the fabulous j* works. first up is the lovely model kara (and jasmine in action!):
i adore this necklace!
then we have the beautiful alana and karim- these guys made a special trip from adelaide to be models for us! what dedication! (hooray for adelaide people- this is where i was born!)
thanks for being such great models! x
